Open Systems Data Channel (OSDC) software is key to integratedcooperative processing between workstations and host computer systems.OSDC extends its management and control capabilities of data andinformation between the server or host computer and any number ofworkstations or peripheral devices. This is done through the transparentuse of the Aaron-Ross Data Management Exchange (DMX) communicationsfacilities, which include auto-logon, security, and message and event-management support. Primary capabilities include the following:

General data processing features for mass storage and retrieval.
Data integrity and data validation at both ends of the transfer
